Lowell Johnson

June 30, 1925 – November 9, 1983

Lowell Johnson, 58, of 13723 Day, died at 3:30pm Wednesday in St Joseph Hospital after a sudden illness.

Born in Mishawaka ion June 30, 1925, he was a lifelong area resident.  On May 12, 1972, in South Bend, he married Shirley Hatfield, who survives.  Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Diana K. Brown of Osceola; a son, James Johnson of Ferriday LA; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Ruth McClanahan of Mishawaka; a stepson, Michael Pollock of Jefferson City TN; four grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Cocanower of Mishawaka, Mrs. Darlene Zook of Brazil IN, and Mrs. Alta Holland of Texas; a brother, Dean Johnson of Mishawaka; and his father, Erhard Johnson of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Friday at the Warner Funeral Home, Osceola.  He belonged to the Willow Creek United Methodist Church.  He was a veteran of WW II and was employed at the Uniroyal Inc. plant here.
