SOUTH BEND - Christopher Leroy Johnson, 2, of 222 N. Brookfield St., died Friday in Memorial Hospital. St. Joseph County Deputy Coroner Charles Hurley is investigating the death. Christopher was born June 22, 1993, in South Bend. He is survived by his mother, Quantella Renee Lax at home; his father, Michael Lamar Johnson Sr. of South Bend; a brother, Michael Lamar Johnson Jr. of South Bend; a half sister, Kiara M. Johnson of South Bend; maternal grandmother, Greta Lax of South Bend; paternal grandparents, Ada Marie Peate and Michael Johnson, both of South Bend; and maternal great-grandmother, Willa D. Lax of South Bend.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Alford's Mortuary. Friends may call one hour before services in the funeral home.
