MISHAWAKA - Barbara K. Johnson, 58, passed away in Hospice
House, South Bend on Wednesday, February 27 after a long illness.
Barbara was born on March 18, 1949 in South Bend as the daughter
of Patt and Ella (Bowers) Simmons. She was preceded
in death by her parents and four brothers, Jack, Earl, Donnie and
David Simmons.
On May 18, 1991 she married Dave. C. Johnson
he survives along with her children, Mark Bogunia of
Mishawaka, Todd Bogunia of South Bend and Sean (Rebecca) Bogunia
of Buchanan, MI; two sisters, Betty (Pat) Catanzarite and
Sally (Joe) Casey both of South Bend; three brothers,
Ronald Simmons of South Bend, Robert "Bobby" Simmons of
Mishawaka and Jerry Simmons of California and six grandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. Barbara was a Waitress for several
Granger Area Restaurants and worked in Housekeeping for the
Brothers of Holy Cross/UNICCO. She was a member of Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church in South Bend. She dearly loved all the time she
was able to spend with her children and grandchildren.
Visitation will be in Hahn Funeral Home, 505
W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, on Friday, February, 29th from 2 to 8
p.m. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m., on Saturday, March 1st
in the funeral home with Rev. Ken Peterson of Good Shepherd
Lutheran Church, officiating. Memorial contributions can be made
in Barbara's name to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1021
