Jack Joe Johns Jr., 32, of Ypsilanti, Mich., formerly of South Bend, Ind., died Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 30, in his residence. Jack was born April 9, 1970, in South Bend, and had lived in Ypsilanti for the last two years. He was employed as a veterinary assistant for Dr. Carr in Ypsilanti.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Nancy Johns and Larry Jenks of South Bend; his companion, Charlotte Cheatham of Ypsilanti; two sisters, Tina L. (Edward) Lynn and Tammy L. Johns, both of South Bend; one stepsister, Julie Jenks of South Bend; two stepbrothers, Gregory and Jeffery Jenks, both of South Bend; three nieces, Ashley Beall, Audrea Lynn and Katlyn Dougall; a nephew, Alexander Lynn; his maternal grandparents, Price and Jean McMahan of South Bend, and Lockie McMahan of South Bend; and by several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4, in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Nov 3, in the funeral home.
