SOUTH BEND - Damon A. Joachim, 37, of South Bend, IN, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2008. Damon was born on December 29, 1970, in South Bend, IN. He was currently employed with Curtis Products, Inc. Survivors include his father, David A. Joachim Sr. of South Bend, IN; his mother, Linda E. Collins of Lafayette, IN; his two sons, Trevor and Tyler; his daughter, Morgan; his two brothers, Justin (Mitzi) Joachim of South Bend, IN, and David A. Joachim Jr. of South Bend, IN; his paternal grandfather, Albert Joachim of South Bend, IN; his maternal grandmother, Ruby E. Brown of Rensselaer, IN; his girlfriend, Amy J. DeLee; and daughters, Rachel and Jocelyn of South Bend, IN. Damon's favorite activities included supporting his favorite athletes, ND football, North Carolina basketball, and NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. Another passion was cooking on his grill for friends and family, and competing with his children on video games.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today, July 29, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008, in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
