Loretta D. Jenczewski, age 81, of Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, died at 6:05 a.m. Monday in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center. She was born January 2, 1918, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On September 4, 1937, in South Bend, as Loretta Niemier, she married Joseph J. Jenczewski, who preceded her in death on November 26, 1982. Also preceding her in death were a granddaughter, Linda Lewandowski; and a sister, Dorothy Rybicki. Surviving are three daughters, Nancy (Dale) Dustman and Diane Jenczewski, both of South Bend, and Claudette (Ron) McCall of Mishawaka; one son, Joseph (Kathy) Jenczewski, Jr., of South Bend; six grandchildren, Kim Samulski of Osceola, Indiana, Ronnie McCall of Lakeville, Indiana, Mary Ebzery of Boston, Massachusetts, Annie Pieckert of South Bend, Ricky Tubbs of Gardendale, Alabama, and Brenda Tubbs of South Bend; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Barbara Molnar of South Bend.

Family and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. today in the St. Joseph Funeral Home, 1827 E. Ireland Rd., South Bend, where a rosary will be said at 4:00 p.m. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
