May 25, 1921 - Feb. 23, 2010SOUTH BEND - Lucille Jelinski, 88, of South Bend, IN, passed away at 8:12 a.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010, in Hospice House. Lucille was born on May 25, 1921, in Terre Haute, IN, to Max and Margaret (Morton) Brines. She was the owner of Norma Jean Beauty Salon on West Fourth Street in Mishawaka for many years. On July 5, 1978, she married Richard Jelinski, who preceded her in death on June 23, 2002. Also preceding her in death was her sister, Jo Ann Herman. Survivors include one daughter, Sharon Zanka of South Bend, IN; one son, David (Connie) Jelinski of Granger, IN; four grandchildren, Lori (Tim) Shively of Etna Green, IN, Lisa (Henry) Brunner of South Bend, IN, Dustin (fiancée, Sara Losin) Jelisnki of Mishawaka, IN, and Courtney Jelinski of Granger, IN; six great-grandchildren, Kirsten, Kassy, Arielle and Gabrielle Brunner of South Bend, IN, and Cameron and Cole Shively of Etna Green, IN; and by her loving chihuahua, Chi Chi. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive.
