Floryian F. Jelinski

December 20, 1917 – February 10, 1998

Floryian “Floyd” F. Jelinski, 80, of Meade Street, South bend, passed away at 4:21pm on Tuesday, February 10, in St Joseph’s Medical Center.

Mr. Jelinski was born on December 20, 1917, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident.  He retired in 1983 from Allied Products and was previously employed with the former Studebaker Corporation.

On July 1, 1939, in South Bend, he married Henrietta D. Samulski, who survives.

He is also survived by a daughter, Geraldine “Gerri” Bingaman of St Joseph MI; a son, Larry Jelinski of South Bend; five grandchildren; one step-grandchild; one great grandchild; two step-grandchildren and by two brothers, Joseph Jelinski of South Bend and Richard Jelinski of Mishawaka.

Mr. Jelinski was a member of St John the Baptist Parish.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Friday in St John the Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 S. Bendix Drive, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish vigil will be held at 4pm.
