SOUTH BEND - Ronald E. Jegier, 54, of Sussex Drive, died at 12:15 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Hospital after an illness. Mr. Jegier was a salesman for Harvey's Pro Hardware.

He was born Oct. 22, 1941, in South Bend. On Sept. 18, 1965, in South Bend, he married Maxine C. Luzny. She survives with a daughter, Pamela Gordon of Mishawaka; three sons, Andrew, Joseph, and Anthony, all at home; a granddaughter; and a brother, Thomas of South Bend. He was a member of the Ushers Club of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, M.R. Falcons and Polish National Association No. 83, and served in the Army Reserve.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish vigil will be at 3:30 p.m.
