Mrs. Margaret G. Jefferson

January 3, 1916 - June 12, 1983

Mrs. Margaret G. Jefferson, 67, of 1118 W. 8^th, died at 4pm Sunday in St Joseph Hospital after a sudden illness. She was born on January 3, 1916, in South Bend, and was a cook at the Parkview Detention Center, South Bend.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Julie) Coleman of Fort Wayne; a son, George Van Ooteghem of Decatur MI; eight grandchildren; a brother, Charles Van Tornhout of St Petersburg FL, and her mother, Mrs. Augusta Barber of Mishawaka.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm Tuesday in the Hahn’s DeVos Funeral Home. Mrs. Jefferson was a member of the River Park Democratic Club. Memorial contributions can be made to the Heart Association.
