Brother Jariath CSC, 47, superior of the Valatie, N.Y. juniorate for brothers in the Congregation of Holy Cross, and a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, died this morning in St. Peter Hospital, Albany, N.Y., just as he was to undergo an operation. He was born in County Cork, Ireland Sept. 17, 1902 and took his first vows in February 1926, and was graduated from Notre Dame in 1931. He taught in Cathedral High School, Indianapolis from 1931 to 1934; at Msgr. Coyle High School in Taunton, Mass, from 1934 to 1943; in Notre Dame High School, Biloxie, Miss. 1943 to 1945, and in 1946 was made superior in Valatie.
