Henry M. Janowski

October 29, 1898 – September 12, 1982

Henry M. Janowski, 83, of 1106 N. College, died at 9:15am Sunday in St Joseph’s Medical Center after an extended illness.  He was retired from the Automotive & Engineering Division of Bendix Corp.

He was born October 29, 1898, in South Bend and was a lifetime area resident.  In May 1924, he married Elizabeth Andrysiak, who died July 1, 1975.  He is survived by a son, John (Jack) Janowski of Albuquerque NM; four grandchildren; and three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Marchelewicz, Mrs. Wanda Luzney and Mrs. Julia Mages, all of Riveria Beach FL.

Services will be at 9:30am Wednesday at Holy Cross Catholic Church, with Rev. Paul Wendel CSC, associate pastor, officiating.  Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 7 to 9pm today and 2 to 9pm Tuesday at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  A parish rosary will be recited at 4pm Tuesday at the funeral home. 

He was a member of the Management Retirement Club at Bendix, Modern Woodmen of the World and the Holy Cross Ushers Club.
