Hattie Janowiak

Hattie Janowiak, 93, of Transitional Healthcare Center, formerly of North Brookfield Street, died at 5:30am Sunday in the nursing home.

Mrs. Janowiak was born September 20, 1900, in South Bend and lived in Lakeville most of her life.  In 1920, as Hattie Wozny, she married Stanley Janowiak.  He died in 1980.  She is survived by four sons, Raymond & Richard, both of South Bend, Robert of Edwardsburg and Leonard of Plantation FL; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; and a brother, John Wozny of Lakeville.  She was a member of Apostleship of Prayer, Polish Women’s Alliance of American and Goodwill Society of St Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Services will be at 10amWednesday in the church.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1 to 90m Tuesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish rosary will be said at 4pm.
