Edmund Janowczyk, 53, of 1321 Poland St., died at 1:40pm Wednesday in Memorial Hospital, where he had been a patient for more than a week.  He had been an employee of Studebaker Corp for 22 years, and was employed at the Reinke Construction Co at the time of his death

He was born on November 13, 1910, in South Bend.  On July 29, 1939, he married Stella Kopinski, who survives.  Also surviving are his father, Joseph, of South Bend; a daughter, Maxine, at home; three brothers, Harry, Bert and Chester, and a sister, Mrs. Bridget Stajkowski, all of South Bend.

Friends may call after 7pm today at Kaniewski & Sons Funeral Home.  Services will be at 10am Saturday in St Casimir’s Catholic Church, Rev. George Szymanowski, CSC, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in St Joseph Cemetery.
