SOUTH BEND - Kizmer S. Jankowski, 97, of St. Paul's Healthcare Center, died at 3:53 p.m. Thursday in the nursing home. Mr. Jankowski retired from Robertson's Department Store. He was born Feb. 29, 1896, in Wisconsin and lived in South Bend for more than 70 years.

On Sept. 16, 1944, in South Bend, he married Helen Grontkowski. She died in 1984. He is survived by a sister, Anna Colvin of Hollywood, Fla.; and two brothers, John of Dowagiac and Edward of Fort Myers, Fla. He was a member of Knights of Columbus Ava Marie Council 553.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call one hour before services today in St. Joseph Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
