Edward James

September 3, 1902 - April 15, 1959

Edward James, 1422E. Calvert St., died in the Beatty Memorial Hospital, Westville, at 10:30am Wednesday after suffering a heart attack.

He was born in South Bend September 3, 1902, and had lived here all his life.  On July 6, 1935, he married Cecelia Kish.  Mr. James was a Studebaker-Packard Corp. employee.

Surviving are his widow; three brothers, Clement of Chicago, Joseph and Leslie, both of South Bend, and a sister, Mrs. Mary Fox of Phoenix AZ.

Friends may call after 7pm today in the McGann Funeral Home.  Service will be at 9am Saturday in St. Matthew Catholic Church with Rev. Arnold J. Wibbert, pastor, officiating.  Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.  The rosary will be recited at 8pm Friday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be K. A. and Thomas James, Robert and John Caddy, F. T. Hanna and Joseph Kuminecz.
