Myron A. Jakusz

Dec. 28, 1911 - July 21, 1996

GRANGER - Services for Mr. Myron A. Jakusz, 84, of Hamilton St., Granger, Ind., will be held on Wednesday, July 24.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. in the Crypt at the Sacred Heart Parish, Notre Dame, Ind., where he was a member. Following at 11 a.m. , a graveside service will be held at the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind.

Mr. Jakusz was born in Buffalo, N.Y. on Dec. 28, 1911, and became a resident of Granger in the fall of 1989. He was the owner of A.E. Jakusz Co. (a mens formal wear company) in Buffalo N.Y.

Survivors include his two daughters Christina M. Urbanski of Granger, Ind. and Janet Jakusz Favero of Annapolis, Md.; three sisters, Emily Corkil and Loretta Grandits both of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and Clara Paluchowski of Buffalo, N.Y. He was predeceased by two sisters, Hatti E. Jakoblew of Lancaster, N.Y. and Angie Zawnoski of Buffalo, N.Y.

Mr. Jakusz was a member of the U.S. Army during World War II, the Sacred Heart Parish Church, Board of Directors Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra. He was active in the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Buffalo, numerous Polish American groups, the American Legion, Nativity of our Lord Parish in Orchard Park, N.Y., and St. Catherines Parish in West Senica, N.Y.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the McGann Funeral Homes, University Area Chapel, 2313 E. Edison Road near Ironwood Drive beteen Grape Road and Indiana 23, South Bend, Ind.
