SOUTH BEND - Laura M. Jacobs, 74, of Lifecare Center, LaGrange, formerly of South Bend, died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday in the nursing center.

Mrs. Jacobs was born Nov. 13, 1919, in South Bend. On April 17, 1938, in Lydick, as Laura Plumbeck, she married Carl Jacobs. He preceded her in death. She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Morey of Grand Rapids; four sons, Ralph of Arlington, Texas, Jeffery of Sterling Heights, Mich., James of Toledo, Ohio, and Kevin of Fullerton, Calif.; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Margaret Ruszkowski of South Bend; and a brother, Ross Plumbeck of New Carlisle. A son, Walter, died in 1976. She was a member of Cathedral of Praise, Sturgis, and LaGrange Senior Citizens, and former member of Lydick United Methodist Church.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

SOUTH BEND - Services for Laura Jacobs, 74, of Lifecare Center, LaGrange, formerly of South Bend, who died at 5:05 p.m. Sunday in the nursing home, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Lydick United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
