MISHAWAKA -- Donald L. Jacobs Jr.,
53, passed away February 13, 2007, in his home.
Don was born January 4, 1954, to Donald L.
Sr. and June (Wiendels) Jacobs in St. Louis, Missouri. He
had lived in the Mishawaka area all of his life.
On July 6, 1979, he married Bonnie Jennings
in South Bend, Indiana. She survives, along with two daughters,
Ashley (Mike) Riley of Mishawaka and Tiffany (Matt) Austin
of Mount Holly, North Carolina; one grandson, William Nathan
Riley of Mishawaka; a son, Michael Jacobs of Lakeville, Indiana;
his sister, Jeanne (Kim) Lehman of Bremen, Indiana; two
brothers, John (Jenni) Jacobs and Mark (Cheryl) Jacobs, all of
Mishawaka; his grandmother, Ethel Jacobs of Mishawaka; and a
niece, Mandy Lehman. Also surviving are an aunt, Beulah (Ed) Rosenbalm,
and an uncle, Harry (Nancy) Jacobs, both of Mishawaka, an uncle,
Jerome Torzewski of South Bend, and many cousins. He was
preceded in death by his parents, Donald and June Jacobs; his
paternal grandfather, Harry Jacobs Sr.; his maternal
grandparents, Hank and Lillie Wiendels; and an aunt, Barbara
Torzewski.
Private services have already been
conducted. The family invites you to a time of gathering and
remembrance for Don from noon to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17,
2007, in the Knights of Columbus, 114 W. First Street, Mishawaka,
IN 46544. Don's hobbies were playing with his grandson, riding
his Harley, and driving his Corvette. He was a proud life member
of the National Rifle Association. He was loved very much and
will be missed by many.
