Angalean Jacobs
June 2, 1924 - Dec. 29, 2001
Angalean Jacobs, 77, of 52654 N. Ironwood, South Bend, IN., passed away at 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, December 29, 2001 in Regency Place.
Angalean was born on June 2, 1924 in Mishawaka, IN., to Clay and Delma (Alexander) Groves, who both have preceded her in death.
As Angalean Groves she married Edward J. Jacobs on October 3, 1924 in Mishawaka. Edward passed away on September 11, 1999. She is survived by two daughter; Judith A. (William) Simon of South Bend, IN., and Shirley M. (Steve) Dickenson-Schudel of Michigan, one son, James E. (Elsa) Jacobs of Del Rio, Texas, seven grandchildren, JoAnn Jacobs of Nederland, Texas, Jeanette Wyatt of Beaumont, Texas, Patrick Butz of Cape Coral, FL., Robert Butz of Macon, GA., Suzann Butz of Pine Island, FL., Andrew Simon and Jennifer Simon, both of South Bend, IN., six great grandchildren, and one brother, Robert (Dee) Groves of Clovis, New Mexico. Angalean was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church, Past President of the Rosary Society and past member of the church choir.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 4 until 8 p.m. at the Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, at St. Monica Catholic Church. Father William Neidhart CSC will officiate with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.
Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or to the Diabetes Association. Mother we will miss you so, but we know you are safe, for you are with the Lord and in a better place. No more tears will you need to cry for Dad is by your side.
We learned a lot from you for you taught us well and we will pass it on the best way we know by caring and giving to others the way you did. Thank you for being you!
