Florence K. Jackson, 86, of Crumstown
Highway, South Bend, Ind., passed away of natural causes on
Sunday, Nov. 19, in her residence. Mrs. Jackson was born on Jan.
27, 1914, to the late George W. and Ethel M. (Ellenberger)
Kreiling in Mason County, Ill.
On. May 15, 1937, she married John Fuller
Jackson in Mason County. He preceded her in death on Jan. 17,
1996. She was also preceded in death by a son, George W. Jackson
of North Liberty, Ind.; and by three brothers and three sisters.
Surviving relatives include her three children, Joan Strozewski,
and her husband, Jim of South Bend, Lois Strasser and her
husband, Herb of South Bend, and James M. Jackson of South Bend;
a brother, Albert Kreiling, and his wife, Delores of Pekin, Ill.;
as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jackson retired from South Bend Lathe after 18 years of
service, and was also a member of the Mayflower Baptist Church in
South Bend.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 8 p.m.
today, Nov. 21, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind.
Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 22, in the Chapel
Hill Funeral Home, with Pastor McMillen of Mayflower Baptist
Church, South Bend, officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel
Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to
Hospice of St. Joseph County or to Mayflower Baptist Church.
