Beatrice "Bea-Bea" Jackson,
56, of Longley Avenue, died after a brief illness. She was born
on Nov. 26, 1945, to the union of Joe and Beatrice Jackson in
South Bend, Ind. They preceded her in death. She had a brother,
Joseph Jackson, who also preceded her in death. She is survived
by two daughters, Eishau (DuWayne) Allen-Redding and Ty Donely,
both of South Bend; one brother, Silas (Liza) Jackson of South
Bend; three sisters, Rebecca Jones of Swiftown, Miss.,
Rosie Turner of South Bend and Bonnie (Patrick) Tyes
of Long Beach, Calif.; one grandchild, Zion Redding of South
Bend; and by a host of nieces and nephews. She was a member of
Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church all her life where
she served on various organizations, some of which included the
senior choir and the drill team. She was very involved in an
array of community organizations such as The Slice of Life Choir,
Sign Choir, Starlite Band and Community Oriented Policing
(C.O.P.). For years she was the site manager of LaSalle Park
Homes and later the property manager of Heritage Homes
Foundation-Southeast. She was a cosmetologist for Clark O'Neal
Funeral Home and various other individuals. She was loved by many
and will be greatly missed. We love you Bea-Bea!
Services for Ms. Beatrice Jackson will be
held today, June 28, in the Greater St. John M.B. Church, 101 N.
Adams Street, South Bend, IN. Visitation 11 a.m.; funeral service
at noon. Burial will follow funeral services at Riverview
Cemetery, South Bend. The Clark O-Neal Funeral Home has been
entrusted with funeral arrangements.
