NORTH LIBERTY - Paul R. Ives, 74, of New Road, died at 10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital. Mr. Ives retired from Tucker Freight Lines in 1975. He was born Sept. 19, 1921, in South Bend.

On May 23, 1942, in Mishawaka, he married Lucille Bennett. She survives with two daughters, Sandra Krill of North Liberty and Kathy Smith of New Carlisle; a son, Richard of North Liberty; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Eleanor Wilson of South Bend and Charlotte Miller of Mishawaka; and a brother, Bill of Yucaipa, Calif. He was a member of Teamsters Local 364 and an Army veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
