John D. Isza (July 7, 1914 - May 21, 2001)
John D. Isza, 86, of Holy Cross Care
and Rehabilitation Center, formerly of Farnsworth Drive, South
Bend, and Diamond Lake, Michigan, passed away at 11:45 p.m. Monday
May 21, 2001, in the care center.
John was born on July 7, 1914, in South Bend
and was a lifetime resident, retiring from the Bendix Corporation
in 1976. On Oct. 7, 1939, in South Bend he was united in marriage
to Alice Jambor who survives.
Also surviving are sister-in-laws, Lillian
(Leslie) Moore, Betty Isza, Blanche Isza and Pat Isza; two
brother-in-laws, Andy (Jackie) Jambor and Tony Molnar,
and numerous nieces and nephews.
John was Pastmaster of Masonic Backus Lodge
#50 Cassopolis, Michigan. He was also a member of Scottish Rite,
Knights Templer, Avalon Grotto and Bendix Retirees Club. Mr. Isza
enjoyed fishing and was known as one of the best fisherman on Diamond
Lake. He also enjoyed gardening and playing his harmonica.
As requested, there will be no services or
visitation. Cremation has taken place. Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826
S. Kemble Avenue handled the arrangements. Memorial contributions
can be made to Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1836 Portage Avenue,
South Bend, IN 46616.
