SOUTH BEND - Services for Mary Katherine “Kit” Irwin, 76, of 61465 Meadowlark Lane, who died at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday in her home after an illness, will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Welsheimer Funeral Home, 521 N. William St. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County Inc.

Mrs. Irwin retired in 1979 from Dallas & Mavis Co. She was born June 17, 1917, in Henry County, Ind., and had lived in South Bend since 1945, coming from Bloomington, Ind.

On Jan. 22, 1939, in Bloomington, as Mary Katherine Wyatt, she married Alfred G. Irwin. He survives with a daughter, Patricia Baker of Plymouth; five grandchildren; two sisters, Wanda Marie Parish of South Bend and Cleotis Rosenbaum of Bloomington; and three brothers, Lloyd Wyatt, Eugene Wyatt and Billy Wyatt, all of Bloomington. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Kumdouble Class, Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a former officer of the Progress Club.
