Sister Mary Cecilita CSC, 85, died in
St. Mary’s Convent Monday morning. Born Sarah Ellen Irving
in Clyman, Wis. on Sept. 27, 1885, she entered the Congregation
of the Sisters of the Holy Cross in April of 1903. She taught
music in St. Joseph Academy, St. Joseph School and St. Mary’s
Academy in South Bend. She also served schools in Indiana,
Illinois and Californis.
Services will be at 4:30 p.m. to day in Our Lady of Loretto Church, with burial in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery on the campus.
