Paul John Irish, Otis, died Wednesday, Oct. 8 in Portland. He was
75.
Mr. Irish was born Nov. 2, 1910 in Portland, the son of John and
Pauline Irish. He married Lois E. Bevan on Aug. 29, 1984 in
Saskatchewan, Canada and had a wedding ceremony Sept. 29, 1984 in
Lincoln City.
He was a graduate of Notre Dame University. He worked as a
Chemical Engineer-Metalurgist for Esco Steel in Portland and
retired in 1975. He moved here part-time from Portland in 1965
and permanently in 1975.
His memberships included St. Augstine's Catholic Church and
A.A.R.P.
Survivors include: his wife, Lois, Otis; sons Paul, Boring;
Patrick, Otis; Michael, Beaverton; James, Richmond, Wash.; a
daughter, Judith K. Rascon, Albuquerque, New Mexico; a brother,
Joseph Irish, Milwaukee; sisters, Margaret Hertel, Rockaway; Mary
Jean Gregor, San Diego, Calif.; 23 grandchildren and 13
great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the rosary was held Friday, Oct. 10, 1986 at 7:30
p.m. at Pacific View Memorial Chapel. Mass of Resurrection was
held Saturday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m. at St. Augustine's Catholic
Church in Lincoln City.
Interment was held following the mass at Pacific View Memorial
Gardens.
Visitation was held on Friday, Oct. 10 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
andon Saturday, Oct. 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Arrangements were under the direction of Pacific View Memorial
Chapel.
Note:
Paul John Irish was twice married. Paul first married Helen
Ann Hertel in South Bend, Indiana on July 30, 1930. From
this union of marriage, they had four sons and one daughter,
Judith, Patrick, James, Michael, and Paul John Irish, Jr. As a
widower, Paul next married Lois E. Bevan, and there were no
children from this marriage.
