SOUTH BEND - Sharon Kay (Scherzinger) Imhof, 65, passed away
unexpectedly following surgery at Memorial Hospital, South Bend,
IN. Sharon was born in South Bend on January 26, 1945. On July
17, 1982, in Dallas, TX, she married John Imhof, who survives.
Sharon was employed with Associates in South Bend for 13 years
and then worked for two oil companies in Texas before retiring
from ORYX Oil Company. Sharon and John had lived in South Bend
since relocating from Coppell, TX, in 1992. Also surviving are
her father, James R. Scherzinger of South Bend; a stepdaughter,
Linda Leyndyke of Mishawaka; a stepson, David (Anne) Imhof of
Wooster, OH; a stepgrandson, Tommy Imhof; a sister, Beth L.
Troyer of South Bend; a brother, Carlon (Diane) Scherzinger of
Terre Haute, IN; a sister-in-law, Margaret Scherzinger of
Crawfordsville, IN; seven nieces and nephews, and five
great-nieces and nephews. Sharon's mother, Erma Ernestine
(Duncan) Scherzinger, and brother, Larry Scherzinger, preceded
her in death. Sharon is remembered by her family and friends as a
loving and devoted wife and untiring caregiver. Her generosity
and spirited humor enriched their lives. She led a life of
selfless service to others and is deeply missed. Funeral services
will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 7th, in Palmer Funeral Home -
River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Burial
will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola. Friends may
visit with the family from 4 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.
