Daniel N. Hysell, 75, of Currant
Road, Mishawaka, Ind., died at 2:33 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, in
St. Joseph Community Hospital. He was born in Benton Harbor,
Mich., on Nov. 26, 1922, and had lived in this area most of his
life.
Daniel married the former Kathryn Gard
in Mishawaka on Jan. 3, 1943. She died on July 4, 1995.
He retired in 1988 from Bergerson Screw
Products as a machinist and supervisor; he was honorably
discharged from the Army in 1946 and had been a member of VFW
Post 360 since. For 40 some years he played guitar and sang in a
country band.
Daniel is survived by a daughter, Lisa R.
Hysell of Mishawaka; a son, Daniel L. Hysell of Osceola, Ind.;
two grandchildren, Brian and Christon Hysell; three
great-grandchildren, Brittney, Kayla and Allison Hysell; two
sisters, Ramona Good of Vandalia, Mich., and Mercedes Van
Over of Florida; and by Maxine Bloss, his companion,
with whom he made his home. He was preceded in death by his
parents, Lloyd and Sarah (Rose) Hysell; a sister, Virginia
Rhodes; and by a brother, Francis Hysell.
Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday,
Jan. 20, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel North, 3910 N. Main Street,
where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. today, with Rev.
Jerry Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Sumption Prairie
Cemetery, with VFW Post 360 conducting military graveside
services.
