MISHAWAKA - Mrs. Paula M. Huys, 77, of 516 E. Fourth Street, died early this morning in St. Joseph Hospital after a month’s illness. She was born on Aug. 8, 1905 in Wynghene, Belgium, and had lived here since 1922. As Paula M. VanDePutte in 1922, in Mishawaka, she married Leon Huys, who died in 1966. Survivors include a son, Dr. George J. Huys of Memphis, Tenn; and a brother Henry J. VanDePutte, with whom she lived.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, and burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Thallemer-Goethals Funeral Home where a rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.
