SOUTH BEND - Edward Roy F. Huston, 85, of Medco Center, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday in the nursing home after an illness. Mr. Huston retired in 1973 from Bendix Corp. as a tool and die maker and a tool grinder. He was born Oct. 14, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On Dec. 12, 1934, in South Bend, he married Mary Gosztola. She survives with a daughter, Lorene Andrews of Aurora, Colo.; three sons, George of South Bend, Roy of Columbus, Ohio, and Samuel of Jacksonville, Fla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Emily Dennisson of Duluth, Ga. He was a member of United Auto Workers Local 9 and Ireland Road Grace Brethren Church.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Guisinger Colonial Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
