SOUTH BEND - Cora Mae Huskey, 83, of Ironwood Drive, South Bend, went to meet Jesus at 10:06 a.m. Friday, July 4, 2008, in her home surrounded by family. Cora was born on June 20, 1925, in Dixon, KY, to the late E.T. and Effie (Dossett) Duncan.

On March 3, 1973, she married Ernest "Tom" Huskey, who survives along with three children, Jim (Patty) Groves of South Bend, Lurena Jones of South Bend and Rosa Lee (Michael) McMichael of Edwardsburg, MI; five grandchildren, Laurie (Matt) Sipe, Anne (Donald) Winner, Alison (Jason Szabo) Groves, Casandra Pieper and Anthony Pieper; three great-grandchildren, Kimberly (Seabrook Smith) Simmons, Nicole Simmons and Emilee Winner; and one great-great-grandchild, Addie Mae Smith. She is also survived by two brothers, Eddie and Nakomis Duncan, both of Henderson, KY. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and three sisters. Cora was the center of our home, always there when we needed a shoulder to cry on or a wise, honest word of truth. She saw no fault or shortcomings in anyone. To many, Cora was known as "Mamaw," and was loved and cherished by all who crossed her path.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2008, in Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola, with two hours of visitation prior to the services. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
