GRANGER - Patrick R. Hurley, 75, of Granger, IN, passed
away at 6:43 p.m. Saturday May 24, 2008, in his home. Patrick was
born on February 8, 1933, in Elkhart, IN, to Charles R. Hurley of
Elkhart, IN and Ruth T. (Litwiler) Castleman of
Cassoplis, MI.
On March 14, 1964, in the New Carlisle
Community Church, he married Nancy A. Moffitt, who survives. Also
surviving are four sons, Patrick R. Hurley Jr. of Granger,
Patrick (Carol) Breen of Elkhart, Michael (Yvonne) Breen
of St. Joseph, MI, and Kenneth (Julie) Breen of North Liberty,
IN; six grandchildren, Shannon Lynn (Carl) Albaugh,
Christopher, Patrick, Sean, Cory and Kelley Breen; and two
sisters, Rosemary Gunts of Elkhart, and Kathryn McGaha
of Louisiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and his brother
Lawrence. He retired from Patrick Industries in Elkhart after 33
years of service, where he was the Director of Transportation and
Safety. Patrick served in the United States Air Force during the
1950's and was a member of the American Legion Post #151,
Granger, IN. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, working jigsaw puzzles
and he loved to go flying.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.
Wednesday May 28, 2008, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N.
Bendix Drive. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial
Park. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday May 27, 2008, in
the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the

Court, South Bend, IN 46637.
