Thelma E. Hunter, 85, formerly of Fairview Avenue, South Bend, Ind., passed away on Thursday evening, Feb. 5, in Fountainview Place, Mishawaka, Ind. She was born on Jan. 14, 1913, in South Bend, to Wilhelm and Eugenia (Clarquist) Hafstrom, both of whom are deceased.

On Aug. 31, 1957, in Angola, Ind., she married Wayne Clifford Hunter, who preceded her in death in 1976. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Rae Dietrich; her sister, Elsie Anderson; and by two brothers, Arthur and Rudolph Hafstrom. She is survived by her daughter, Diane Collins of South Bend; her grandchildren, Timothy and Michelle Collins of South Bend, and Matthew Collins of South Bend; and by a sister and a brother, Margurite Hertel of Mishawaka and Carl Hafstrom of South Bend.

Private family services will be held. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Evangelical Covenant Church, South Bend. The Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
