SOUTH BEND - Carolyn I. Hunter,
74, of Lucinda Street, South Bend, passed away at 1:37 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 15
in the Hamilton Communities Nursing Center, New Carlisle, Ind., after an
extended illness.
Mrs. Hunter was born
on March 21, 1931, in South Bend and was a lifetime resident of the Michiana
area. On Nov. 11, 1950 in South Bend, as Carolyn I. Pherson,
she married Keel D. Hunter, who preceded her in death on
January 8, 2000.
Carolyn is survived by her only and
loving son, Brian K. (Karen) Hunter of South Bend.
Also surviving are three grandchildren,
Jennifer Wyckoff, Keelie and Jody Hunter, all
of South Bend, whom Carolyn loved and cherished.
Carolyn was employed for several years
at 1st Source Bank in the bookkeeping department.
A memorial service will be held on
Tuesday, Dec. 20, at 1 p.m. in the Hanley & Sons "Southwest
Chapel" Funeral Home, located at West Ireland Road/Indiana 23, South Bend,
where friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m.
Cremation has taken place, and burial
will take place at a later date at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
The Rev. Ron H. Dixon
of Southlawn United Methodist Church will officiate at the memorial services.
