SOUTH BEND - Nicholas Hunjo, 77, of 3302 Hedge Maple Court, died of natural causes at 8 p.m. Wednesday in his home. Mr. Hunjo retired in 1969 from Budd Co., Gary. He was born July 25, 1916, in Scranton, Pa., and lived in South Bend most of his life.

On May 6, 1944, in South Bend, he married Iris Hoke. She survives with a daughter, Frances Hunjo of South Bend; a son, Michael of Clio, Mich.; two grandchildren; and four sisters, Ann Hunjo, Mary Linko, Helen Muska, and Sarah Ward, all of Scranton. He was a veteran of World War II.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Helping Hands of First Christian Church.
