SOUTH BEND - Anne Victoria Hums, 93, passed away on Sunday, December 20th, in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Anne was born on June 17, 1916, in South Bend, to Stephen and Mary (Voros) Buranich. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Matthew Buranich and Rev. Kurt Buranich, OFM. On May 17, 1947, in Mishawaka, as the former Anne Buranich, she married Herman L.Hums, who preceded her in death on April 23, 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Dr. Mary Hums of Louisville, KY; two sons, Edward (Shirley) Hums of Mishawaka and Stephen (Dr. Janet Wolfe) Hums of Lincoln, NE; two grandchildren, Katherine and Timothy Hums; and a brother, Godfrey Buranich of Orchard Park, NY. Anne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mishawaka, and the Rosary Society. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, December 23, in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 24, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Rev. Terry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Mishawaka. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 225 S.
