Mrs. Georgia Ann Hugins, 54, formerly
of 818 N. Adams, South Bend, Ind., passed away following an
illness at 7:30 a.m. on Feb. 19, 1997, at her residence in
Phoenix, Ariz. She was born on May 23, 1942, in South Bend, to
the union of Nevada and George Hugins, Sr. She moved to Phoenix
in 1980 where she became a member of Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church.
She served on the Missionary Board, and personally made crafts
that were sold for the church. She later moved back to South
Bend, and retired due to illness from the St. Joseph Health
Center in 1994.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory two
daughters, Kimberly Holmes of South Bend and Tanya Hugins;
two sons, Anthony Holmes and Renard June Owens, all of
Phoenix; her mother, Nevada Hugins; two sisters, Lois Hugins and
Lucille Spann; three brothers, Harold Snelling,
Carey and George Hugins, all of South Bend. She was preceded in
death by three sisters, Emily Hugins, Gwendolyn Hugins and Hazel Humphrey;
and by her father, George Hugins, Sr.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on
Wednesday, Feb. 26, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, with
burial following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation is
one hour prior to time of services.

arrangements.
