Mrs. Nancy Adele Huff, 76, of South
Bend, Ind., passed away following an illness on Saturday
afternoon in Hospice House. She was born on Aug. 15, 1922, in
Chicago, Ill., to Samuel R. and Ellen Hale (Baldwin) Willits.
She lived in South Bend since 1929, coming
from Chicago, and on Nov. 21, 1943, she married Dr. Roger Huff,
who survives. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Marie Foeckler
and husband Ted of Elkhart, Ind.; her nieces, Cynthia Huff of
Forsight Mo., Libby Wright of St. Louis, Mo., and Shelly Johnson
of Houston, Texas. Mrs. Huff was past president of the Service
Guild and belonged to the South Bend Duplicate Bridge Club, DAR,
Morris Park Country Club and Dental Society Auxiliary, was active
in several golf associations, Psi Iota Xi, and honorary president
of the St. Joseph Golf Association.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on
Wednesday in the Welsheimer Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland
Road, with the Rev. Steven Mullins of Memorial Presbyterian
Church officiating. Cremation will take place and interment will
be in the St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. The family request in
lieu of flowers, that memorial contributions be made to Hospice
of St. Joseph County, or to The Arthritis Foundation of St.
Joseph County.
