SOUTH BEND - William Hubbard, 71, of 608 E.
Howard St., died after an illness at 8:03 a.m. Sunday in his
home. Mr. Hubbard was a former employee of Bendix Corp. He was
born Oct. 4, 1924, in Jackson, Tenn., and lived in South Bend
since 1962.
On Sept. 7, 1942, in Charleston, Mo., he
married Annie Brumley. She survives with a daughter,
Barbara Miller of Houston; five sons, Richard and Teddy,
both of South Bend, and Calvin, Willie, and Yul, all of Houston;
10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Angela
Hubbard of Nashville and Phyllis Goodlow of Gary; and a
brother, Frederick of Tennessee. He served as a deacon and
trustee at St. Luke's Memorial Church of God in Christ and was an
Army veteran of World War II.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the
church. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call
from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Clark's Funeral Chapel.
