Arvel Glen Howard, 62, residing on
East Walnut Street, Osceola, Ind., passed away at 5:51 p.m. on
Friday, June 19, in St. Joseph's Medical Center, South Bend, Ind.
Mr. Howard was employed with Wheelabrator-Frye in Mishawaka, Ind.
He was born on Oct. 22, 1935, in Savannah, Tenn., to the late
Ganes and Viola (White) Howard. He was also preceded in
death by a son, Monte Howard.
Mr. Howard is survived by his former wife,
Patricia Howard of Osceola; one daughter, Glenda Howard of
Mishawaka; three sons, Timothy Howard of Elkhart, Ind., Gregory
Howard of South Bend and Glen Charles Howard of Lakewood, Calif.;
a sister, Barbara Vaughn of Lepanto, Ark.; and by three brothers,
Paul Howard, Billy Howard and Walter Louis Howard, all of
Lepanto. Mr. Howard played Country-Western music with several
local bands in the Michiana area.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on
Tuesday in Potter Memorial Cemetery, Lepanto. Friends may call
from 10 a.m. until time of services on Tuesday in the Murphy
Funeral Home, Lepanto. Memorial contributions may be given to the
American Diabetes Foundation. Local arrangements for Mr. Howard
are being made by the Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue,
South Bend.
