Flora H. Hough, 97, of 206 E. Harrison Street, North Liberty, Ind., passed away at 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at Hospice House of St. Joseph County. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at the Community Grocery for 22 years. She was born on March 23, 1900, in LaPorte, Ind., and lived here since 1925.

She was married on July 1, 1916, in LaPorte, to Oliver N. Hough, who preceded her in death on April 16, 1970. She was also preceded in death by a great grandchild, Laurie Huff in 1964; a daughter, Iola Buechler in 1943; and by a son, Harley in 1994. She is survived by two daughters, Jean Byland of North Liberty and Joyce Huff of South Bend; a son, Joseph D. is from San Antonio, Texas; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday at the North Liberty Church of Christ, officiated by Charles Richmond, pastor. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in LaPorte County. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday at the A. M. Manuel Funeral Home in North Liberty. Memorial donations may be made to the North Liberty Church of Christ, where she was a member, or to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
