Virgil B. Houck (May 8, 1924 - Oct.
10, 1999).
Virgil B. Houck, 75, of South 35th Street,
South Bend, Ind., died on Sunday evening, Oct. 10, in his home.
Mr. Houck worked for the Studebaker Corporation for 18 years, and
retired in 1982 from Dodge Reliance after 18 years. He was born
on May 8, 1924, in Mishawaka, Ind., and had been a lifetime area
resident.
On Aug. 3, 1946, in South Bend, he married
Doris Mattie Keene, who survives.
He is also survived by a daughter, Vicky Connell
of Oakwood, Ill.; two sons, Terry B. Houck of Mishawaka and
Dennis K. Houck of South Bend; six grandchildren and eight
great-grandchildren; and by three sisters, Louise Grisamer
of Naugatuck, Conn., Emma Kreiter and June Evans,
both of Mishawaka.
He was preceded in death by a sister and two
brothers.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday,
Oct. 13, in the chapel of St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park,
Granger, Ind., with Rev. Stephen Sears, pastor of the 1st Church
of the Nazarene, Mishawaka, where Mr. Houck was a member,
officiating.
There will be no visitation.

the Nazarene, 610 N. Logan, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
The Hickey Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.

SOUTH BEND - Virgil B. Houck, 75, of South 35th Street, died Sunday in his home. Survivors include his wife, Doris M. (Keene); a daughter, Vicky Connell of Oakwood, Ill.; two sons, Terry B. of Mishawaka and Dennis K. of South Bend; and three sisters, Louise Grisamer of Naugatuck, Conn., and Emma Kreiter and June Evans, both of Mishawka. Services will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park Chapel, Granger. There will be no visitation. Hickey Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
