Doris M. Houck (April 4, 1917 -- June 16, 2004)

Doris Mattie Houck, 87, of 35th Street, South Bend, Ind., died Wednesday evening, June 16, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center

Doris was born April 4, 1917, in LaPorte, Ind., to Clarence and Myrtle (Maltby) Keene, and had spent her lifetime in the Mishawaka and South Bend area. On Aug. 3, 1946, she married Virgil Bert Houck, who preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1999, along with a sister, Garnet Bellairs

Doris is survived by a daughter, Vicky Connell of Oakwood, Ill.; two sons, Terry B. Houck of Mishawaka, Ind., and Dennis K. Houck of South Bend; and six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the First Church of the Nazarene, Logan and Mishawaka Avenue, Mishawaka, with burial to follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Ind. Friends may call one hour prior to the services in the church

Doris was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, 610 N. Logan St., Mishawaka, IN 46545, to which memorials may be made
