Wava Jean Hostetler

W. Jean Hostetler, 74, passed away on
March 3, 2002, at Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City,
Florida. She was born May 20, 1927, in South Bend to the late
Sidney and Margaret (McCorkle) Kistler. Living all
her life in South Bend, Jean was a graduate of Central High
School. Jean retired from Liberty Mutual in 1985 after working
there many years.
On November 1, 1947, she married Jack
Hostetler who survives. She is preceded in death by her parents
and a son, Ronald. She is survived by her husband, Jack of South
Bend; a son, Michael J. (Linda) Hostetler of Queens, NY;
daughters, Pamela (Doug) Pettibone of Grand Rapids, MI,
and Wendy Braunsdorf of Mishawaka; her twin sister,
Patricia Pejza of South Bend; her grandchildren, Aaron,
Seth, and Luke Hostetler, Justin, Meredith, and Alison Pettibone,
Jeremy Braunsdorf of Kuwait and Joshua Braunsdorf, a niece, Kathy
Molnar and nephew, Jeffery Schoope. Jean was a member of
Community Baptist Church for 51 years and a member of the choir
for 30 years. She was also the past Worthy Advisor for the
Rainbow Girls.
Calling for Mrs. Hostetler will be on Sunday
from 1 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in Guisinger Colonial Chapel
Funeral Home, 3718 South Michigan St. Funeral services will be on
Monday at 11 a.m. in Community Baptist Church, 5715 Miami Road,
with calling one hour before services at the church. Memorial in
Mrs. Hostetler's name may be directed to the Community Baptist
Church or the American Diabetes Association.
