SOUTH BEND - Robert Louis Hostetler, 85, of 206 E. Jennings Ave., died at 11:55 a.m. Saturday in Ironwood Health & Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Hostetler retired as an accountant. He was born May 19, 1908, in South Bend, and was a lifelong area resident.

On May 23, 1937, in South Bend, he married Florence Wherrett. She died Dec. 28, 1980. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Louise Hostetler of Salem, Ore.; a son, William G. of South Bend; and two grandsons, Andrew and Matthew, both of South Bend. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Trisagion services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 S. Michigan St. Entombment will be in Riverview Mausoleum. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Chapin Street Health Center.
