Leonette I. Hostetler, age 74, of Liberty
Trail, North Liberty, Indiana, died at 10:45 p.m., Friday January
4, 2002 in Memorial Hospital, South Bend. She was born on
September 8, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan to Cecil R. and Helen
(Crane) Bishop. Her parents and her brother, Cecil E.
Bishop, preceded in death.
In December of 1946, in South Bend, Leonette
married Charles D. Hostetler, he died in 1995. She retired as a
legal secretary from the law office of Judge John Gonas. Leonette
is survived by three daughters; Debbie Rauen of Mishawaka,
In., Diane Nyari and Denise Whitmer, both of North
Liberty, In.; two sons, Duane (Judy) Hostetler of Bronson,
Michigan and Darwin Hostetler of Berrien Springs, Mi. Also
surviving are thirteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren,
three sisters, Bonnie Sweet of Benton Harbor, Mi., Mary Morey
of Lansing, Mi., Sharon Dukes of French Lick, In., and by
one brother, Gerald Bishop of French Lick, In.
In her memory, the family has asked that
memorial contributions be made to the National Kidney Foundation,
850 N. Meridian St., Suite 203, Indianapolis, Indiana 46204-1108.
There will be no services or visitation, cremation will take
place. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, In., is in charge of
arrangements.
