Charlotte J. Hostetler, 75, of
Lincoln Street, Wakarusa, Ind., passed away at 6:14 a.m. on
Friday, June 9, in Saint Joseph's Regional Medical Center, South
Bend, Ind., following injuries suffered in an auto accident.
She was born on May 15, 1925 in Mishawaka,
Ind. She was raised by Russell and Adalaide Ritter, who
preceded her in death.
In June 1944, she married Howard E.
Hostetler, who also preceded her in death in 1976, along with a
son, Russell Hostetler who passed away in 1988; and by two
sisters and a brother. She is survived by her children, Adalaide Doty
of Wakarusa, Bonnie Hostetler of California, Gloria Wilson
of Elkhart, Ind., and Dawn Long and Sharon Mettert, both
of Auburn, Ind.; her sisters, Pauline Peffley and Elsie Black,
both of Avon, Fla.; a brother, Dean Bordner of South Bend,
Ind.; her grandchildren, Rebecca (Becca) of Fort Wayne, Ted of
Wakarusa, Tesse of Tulsa, Okla., Shawn of Detroit, Mich., Roscoe
of Elkhart, Michael of Kendallville, Andrea and Laura, both of
Auburn, Brock of Wakarusa and Alisha of Auburn. Mrs. Hostetler
was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Church, Wakarusa, was an
avid doll collector and loved shopping at garage sales.
Funeral services for Mrs. Hostetler will be
held at 2 p.m. on Monday, June 12, in the Bubb Funeral Chapel
North, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Ind., where friends
will be received from 1:30 until 2 p.m. on Monday. Burial will
follow at 4 p.m., Monday, at the Sauktown Cemetery, New Carlisle,
Ind. Officiating the services will be Rev. Scott Nichols.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, South
Bend.
