NORTH LIBERTY - Charles D. Hostetler, 75, of 64166 Liberty Trail, died at 8 a.m. Sunday in his home of natural causes. Mr. Hostetler retired in 1985 from Whirlpool Inc., LaPorte, as a computer operator after 30 years of service. He was born Jan. 11, 1920, in South Bend.

On Dec. 28, 1946, in South Bend, he married Leonette I. Bishop. She survives with three daughters, Debra Rauen of Mishawaka and Diane Nyari and Denise Whitmer, both of North Liberty; two sons, Duane of Bronson, Mich., and Darwin of Berrien Springs; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He was a veteran of World War II and a charter member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1954.

There will be no services or visitation. Cremation will take place. Palmer Funeral Home, Lakeville, is in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post 1954.
