1, 1931 - Jan. 10, 2010NEW CARLISLE - Harry Fred Hosang, 78, died suddenly at Hamilton Health Center on Sunday, January 10, 2010. He was born on July 1, 1931, in Chicago, Illinois, to Harry Sr. and Evelyn Hosang, who preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Eileen; his son, Steven (Kelli Kujawski) of Edwardsburg, Michigan; his daughter, Deborah Herrick of Palos Heights, Illinois; and a brother, Wayne Hosang. Harry was preceded in death by his cherished daughter, Cheryl Hosang, and his beloved brother, Don Hosang. He was a member of the New Carlisle American Legion Post #297 for 31 years. He was a commander of Post #297 for three of those years. Harry served in the U.S. Marines from December 1951 to December 1953. Harry is retired from the Chicago Carpenters Union. He was also employed by the Marriott Corp. from 1980 to 1992. Harry has four children he loved very much. He was a great cook, gardener, and he could fix anything that was broken. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend.
